• Completely new to skiing/snowboarding

• Has little to no experience, or has tried it only once

• Would like instruction starting from equipment handling and how to stand up

 

B class ▼

• Able to ride the lift independently

• Can stop and turn on gentle slopes

• May fall occasionally, but can ski/ride down on their own

• Skiing: Can ski stably using the snowplow (plow) technique

• Snowboarding: Can ride using the falling leaf technique

 

C class ▼

• Comfortable on intermediate slopes

• Maintains good speed control with linked turns

• Can complete long runs without stopping

• Skiing : Can confidently make parallel turns

• Snowboarding : Can ride down the slope with continuous linked turns

• Able to ski/ride steep slopes and uneven terrain

• Aims to improve technique (carving, terrain features, etc.)

• Understands personal challenges and wants to improve through lessons

• For experienced and skill-focused riders
